Refund Policy

Oceanoax LLC ("Oceanoax," "we," "us," or "our") wants you to be completely satisfied with your purchase of Oaklet Notes Pro. This Refund Policy explains how refunds are handled for all paid plans.

1. Merchant of Record

Oaklet Notes Pro is sold through two distinct channels, each with its own Merchant of Record:

1.1 Direct purchases (website): Lemon Squeezy, LLC ("LemonSqueezy") acts as our Merchant of Record. LemonSqueezy handles all billing, invoicing, sales tax, and refund processing for direct purchases.

1.2 Apple App Store purchases (iOS / macOS App Store): Apple Inc. acts as the Merchant of Record. Apple handles all billing, payment processing, sales tax collection, and refunds for App Store transactions, in accordance with Apple Media Services Terms. Oceanoax has no control over App Store transactions and cannot directly access, modify, or refund these purchases.

2. 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee

We offer a thirty (30)-day money-back guarantee on all new Pro license purchases, including both subscription and perpetual plans. If you are not satisfied with Oaklet Notes Pro for any reason, you may request a full refund within 30 days of your original purchase date — no questions asked.

3. Subscription Renewals

Direct purchases (LemonSqueezy): Subscription renewals (monthly or annual) are non-refundable, unless required by applicable law. We recommend canceling your subscription before the next billing date if you no longer wish to continue. Upon cancellation, you retain access to Pro features until the end of your current billing period. You can cancel at any time through the LemonSqueezy customer portal (linked in your purchase receipt email) or by contacting us.

Apple App Store purchases: Refunds for App Store subscriptions, including renewals, are at Apple's sole discretion in accordance with Apple's policies. You may request a refund through reportaproblem.apple.com — Oceanoax has no control over Apple's refund decisions. To cancel an App Store subscription, go to Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device. Upon cancellation, you retain Pro access until the end of your current billing period.

4. How to Request a Refund

For direct purchases (LemonSqueezy), you may use any of the following methods:

  • Email: Send a request to [email protected] with your order number or the email address used for the purchase.
  • LemonSqueezy Customer Portal: Log in to the LemonSqueezy customer portal using the link in your purchase receipt and submit a refund request directly.

Refund requests are typically processed within 5–10 business days. The exact timing depends on your payment provider and financial institution.

For Apple App Store purchases, refunds must be requested directly from Apple. Oceanoax does not have access to App Store transactions and cannot process these refunds:

  1. On your iPhone or iPad: open Settings → Apple ID → Media & Purchases → View Account → Purchase History, find the Oaklet Notes purchase, and tap "Report a Problem".
  2. On any device, visit https://reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, find the Oaklet Notes purchase, and select "Request a Refund".

Apple will review your request and notify you of the decision directly. We are unable to influence or expedite Apple's review process.

5. EU/UK Right of Withdrawal

For direct purchases (LemonSqueezy): If you are a consumer in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you have a statutory right to withdraw from the purchase of digital content within fourteen (14) days of the transaction, provided that you have not yet begun to download or use the Software. By commencing the download or activation of your license, you expressly consent to the immediate provision of the digital content and acknowledge that you thereby waive your right of withdrawal, in accordance with EU Directive 2011/83/EU, Article 16(m). Notwithstanding the above, our 30-day money-back guarantee provides protection that exceeds the statutory minimum.

For Apple App Store purchases: EU/UK consumer rights, including the right of withdrawal, are governed by Apple Media Services Terms and processed by Apple. Please refer to Apple's terms for the applicable withdrawal mechanism in your jurisdiction.

6. Exceptions

Refunds may be declined in the following circumstances:

  • The request is made more than 30 days after the original purchase date;
  • The request is for a subscription renewal (see Section 3);
  • Evidence of abuse, fraud, or violation of our Terms of Service.

7. Chargebacks

We encourage you to contact us before initiating a chargeback through your bank or credit card company. We are committed to resolving any issues promptly and a direct refund request is typically faster and simpler than a formal dispute process.
